How Google was started?
Today Google conquered world of web but how it was started? Google was born as ‘BackRub’ in 1996. BackRub was a child of Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Google bloomed from a simple looking search web site to big search engine. Started from a scratch today Google homepage hits millions of visitors who search for hundred millions of query every day!

This is most ‘secretive’ part about Google search engine and better it should kept secret! But Google still gave few insights regarding it. Googlebot or Google web crawler used to crawl internet very slowly in its beginning but continuous development brings more success to Google now it crawls in real time and index new sites; WebPages; files within few hours, sometime even in minutes.
When you type any word in Google’s search box, it gives you an index of mostly relevant webpages.
Google looks at internet as ‘Book’ and provide the result as book index giving importances to ‘Content’ on each page it ranks the web pages accordingly.
Google system also find out how many other people pointing to a single webpage; the maximum number of websites pointing to a single webpage; maximum number of value Google gives to that page. Google also patented a term called ‘Page rank’. Page rank decides the importance of website in Google’s view.

Google reach their millions of visitors through a very simple looking website called as ‘Google Homepage’. It contains 19 links and 32 words.
On upper left side of Google homepage lies links to 8 different services provided by Google. First of what you are in; means 1st link is about ‘Web’ search. Next to it you can find link named as ‘Images’ which provide Image search engine, you can search any image on net with this image search. This is followed by Videos, Maps and News search. Next comes ‘Shopping’ here Google helps you to search & find what you want to buy. Then comes ‘Gmail’ a very popular webmail by Google which provides 7.5 GB memory space.
Google doesn’t stop here they do have lots of things to provide to their visitors so comes ‘more’ link with drop down menu which leads you to ‘Google Translate, Books, YouTube, Finance, Blogs’ and much more!!!
On upper right corner you will find links to sign in to Google services and popular thing which is called as iGoogle. iGoogle lets you to modify look of Google homepage and one can select themes for homepage. iGoogle is nothing but your personalised homepage!!
Now comes most beautiful part of Google world that is Google search Box!!! It is the place where all worlds find the required information. Just type what you want hit the search button and whole world will open for you.
