If you have somehow found this article whilst looking for ways to download videos from YouTube and not music then you need my other articled titled ‘How To Download YouTube Video‘. I think it is probably wise if I just run a little disclaimer past you:- I am not responsible and in no way advocating the download of music which is copyright protected, this is an illegal act and it is entirely your own problem if you choose to do so and face any consequences for your own actions. Now that we have established that, just see below to find out how to do it! There are a number of ways of doing so and none of the ways featured on here cost a penny, so fill your boots (or at least your iPod).
One way to download music from Youtube videos is to use the fantasticwww.orbitdownloader.com software, which is completely free but requires installation onto your computer. The music from any YouTube video, or indeed other streaming sites such as Myspace or Pandora, can be stripped and converted into MP3 format in just a few clicks. Im not going to bother to tell you how the software works, as the link tells you all that you need to know! But this is definitely a great bit of freeware.
If you don’t want MP3 format…
God knows why you wouldn’t want your audio in MP3 format, as it’s all about MP3′s these days, but just in case you do need the music file in some obscure obsolete file type (e.g. flv, wmv, asf, avi, mov, mp4, m4v, 3gp, rm, rmvb, etc) then you need to grab yourself a different bit of software. Now, I’m sure that there is a fantastic bit of freeware out there somewhere which will be perfect for you, but I am purely an MP3 man so I am not going to find it for you.
A very quick search on google threw up THIS bit of software however which has a fully functional trial; meaning that you simply need to grab every file you need before you get an annoying message asking for $30. When you run out of free days, just download another similar piece of software such as THIS or maybe THIS. When you run out of free trials (which will probably be in about 2023) you might consider catching up with the real world and getting free music like the rest of us from www.orbitdownloader.com. Of course, you will then be the only people using MP3 files as I and many others will be using the MP903 or something, watch out for my articles in 2028 on how to download MP904 files, MP905 files and MP906 files.
