Bollywood songs are of course more formally known as Hindi movie songs, and is just music performed in Bollywood movies. Often these songs can be very complex, and can include terms from various other languages including Persian terms, and words and phrases from other Indian languages including Braj, Bhojpuri, Punjabi and Rajasthani. Even English has been known to appear in verses. As I don’t speak any language other than English, I generally don’t understand a word of it without subtitles, however I really do enjoy the rhythm and the dancing.
On several occasions I have found myself up late watching some obscure Bollywood film and have always been really impressed with the production quality, they are always so long too!
