Direction to Put Paper or Labels in HP 4250n Printer Tray 2

If you are putting a ream of blank 8 1/2 x 11 letter sized paper into an HP 4250n printer tray (tray number 2) you do not have to worry about which direction to put them in.  They’ll come out with the print properly oriented and on the correct side every time since there is not point of reference (letter header or footer or label-print-side etc) for there to be incorrect orientation.  In other words, you can not go wrong with blank paper.

You can go wrong with labels, company letterhead, forms, etc that need to have the print line up correctly or show on a certain side of the page.

This post will show yo the direction to put paper or labels in the HP 4250n number two tray.  If you are looking for the right way to position the page for tray one (1) , which is that auxiliary tray you pull out and downward, check out this post Which Way to Face Labels on HP 4250n Printer Up Or Down. Both trays operate differently from the other.

For tray two, the proper way to put paper in is

1. Face down. In other words, the ink will print on the face-down side of the page

2. You want the top of the page pointing away from the printer. You want the top or header or top margin or whatever you want to call it at the end of the drawer closest to you and not closest to printer.

So pull the drawer out, turn the page upside down so top is facing you and put face down into the drawer.

That should do it!
