Excertpz is a collaborative platform with a difference. As a contributor you retain full ownership of your posts, meaning that you can edit or even delete them at any time. In addition, you have the opportunity to keep 80% of the AdSense impressions from your content, so not only do you gain a dofollow backlink or two, you also have a fantastic chance to earn some extra cash!

Each and every AdSense ad is a shared one if it is shown on any part of the page when somebody is viewing your post. At current the site displays three text & image units and three link units per page, so that’s six ad units in total working for you. This site has been established by an experienced affiliate marketer and general small scale online entrepreneur (that’s me) with the intention of providing a platform from which fellow search engine marketers and bloggers on any subject can help to give their portfolio of content an extra push out of the starting blocks.

The sites mission is rather simple, we want to build PageRank as swiftly as possible whilst placing emphasis on content quality; the ultimate aim is to build something which achieves an Alexa Top 10,000 global ranking whilst keeping focus on earning users money and helping to drive traffic through any links that they may use. Such growth will mean highly authoritive outgoing links and some great traffic for our authors. Edit: It is now six months since launch and we are already within touching distance of the top 100,000!

A minimum post length of 300 words applies, we don’t expect long features, we just expect them to be well written and unique; those that copy and paste will be removed from the site and articles produced using an article spinner will be removed. We use a duplicate content filter to block the publication of content which is already published online.

You can share whatever you wish, whether it is magazine style articles, how to guides, poetry, product reviews, a summary of your content on other article sites, or even news or gossip articles. If you have something to say, or something to share, then we want to hear it! Each submission is entitled to a maximum of three outgoing links.

As this site gains authority so will the links contained within, as we build a community here we are hopeful that users will help to spread the word about this site online. I am Ryan, a full time affiliate marketer and webmaster from the United Kingdom. Ultimately, I do most of the work here at Excerptz in the hope that it will become my next best project. My ambition is to build and maintain an Alexa top 10,000 website. My interests were once vast, but dissapeared along with my time resources; travelling the world and real estate remain my two primary passions. In my spare time I play with Coco, my pug puppy and Director of Entertainment, Coco, chill with my girlfriend Claire, and lose dozens of hours to Football Manager 2011. I need to get out more. Essie (Site Moderator)

This is Esmeralda, from Manila in The Phillipines, who will at some stage become the sites first part time moderator . ‘Essie’ has done extensive web work for me over the past couple of years and is very much looking forward to getting stuck in to making sure that your content is original and appropriate. Essie is hard but fair, expect to see her on the forum too once the community grows. Esmeralda enjoys cooking, travelling and (of all things) windsurfing. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Manila Central University and works a day job as a Customer Services Representative. In other words, she does much more than me!

My name is Coco, I live with Ryan the site owner. Apparently I am the Director of Entertainment for this thing, personally I couldn’t care less about what you crazy humans get up to. I spend most of my days sleeping, snoring, farting, running around like a lunatic, sniffing other dogs, eating and pooping. And that is how I like it to be. Ryan thinks that its funny to make me wear clothes, as you can see I look a little pee’d off in my photo. Just so long as I keep getting the doggy treats, and Ryan stops making funny noises to make my head tilt, I am happy to play along with this Excerptz rubbish.

Nope, sorry! The hope is that we will one day need another two part-time site moderators, but that will be a while yet! But remember, you can always make money by becoming a contributor! We may also require somebody to perform simple SEO tasks for an hour a day, more on that soon.
